Rodin held back the urge to join the male in the aerobatics, but felt, as usual, that it was not her place. She landed with a soft thud behind him, and listened quietly. "Rengo - " she said testing. "A fine name indeed. Do not trouble yourself with me, sir." Rodin said, assuring him. "There is no need to waste formalities on such as me." Normally when someone says a phrase like this, they would seem downcast and depressed - but not Rodin. She felt that she always deserved whatever she got - and never complained about it.

She repeated his name then commented on it. "Thank you." He replied. But then she said something strange. "There is no need to waste formalities on such as me."
"Why is that? You no different than any other dragon out there.. You should be treated with the same as he king!"

Rodin could not hold back the chuckle this time, and had to suppress some - well, things. Her expression changed in a slight way, the sterness of her voice increased by a hair's breadth. "You don't know me..." Rodin shook her head from side to side in a short way, a bit of a quiver in a lip as if it were about to raise in a snarl.
She shook her head as she walked away, trying to rid herself of thoughts that - changed her. She had no desire to bring out that beast.

Rengo was taken aback somewhat at her answer. But he said nothing as Rodin walked away.
It's been a long time since I was here. Things have changed. He thought as he once again served the land. Wondering how far one must fly to find something to eat.

Rodin sat near the mouth of the cave, her wings brought forward, catching the sunlight and reflecting it onto her face and chest. Her head was bent down on her neck, her expression consentrated and stern. She just needed to clear her head. With a snort she shook her head with gusto, and began to think of other things. Such as new beginnings, new history, new life, and maybe new hope. Rodin layed down quietly, watching the horizon, and trying to relax.

Rengo jumped and with a flap of his wings took off in to the clear air. He fly strait up for a few minutes before coming to a stop and hovering in one place getting a better look at the land. He then plummeted to the ground his wings tightly at his sides. When he was within ten feet of the ground he stretched out his wings and took off towards the north flying low over the blackened ground. He flew and tell he come upon grass, green grass. He then took to flying higher. Much higher. And with his eagle like eyes quickly looked for breakfast.
Spotting a herd of gazelles a mile off he went in for the kill.
Getting over them he quickly dropped to the ground. Getting one in each of his two back claws. Bringing one in to slay them quickly. Then he was gone from the spot the gazelles running for their life's hoping he wasn't still hungry. He flew back two miles and landed on a jagged slop quickly devouring the meat savouring it's freshness.
That filling his belly he took off on a much shorter route to the cave.
Not needing water for still some time he landed not for from the cave and lay down on the slopes of a volcanic mountain he bask in the sun. His eyes closing to slits. Then they quickly opened as a he thought. Damn, I could have gotten another gazelle and brought it to Rodin. Why not make a few friends? "Well their long gone by now." He said with a sigh.

Grinko
The thin serpent like creature slowly weaved his way threw rocks and boulders. One couldn't fly to much on enemy land. If he was spotted he would surely die. Lucky for him he was quiet good at climbing, so it wasn't all that hard. But staying alive would be. He was on a mission. Lord >Put Name here< had sent him to track down and find his daughter. Who had run away from the tribe and gone to live with the light dragons. After he found her he either brought her back, killed her, or go back and bring some dark warriors to take her with force. So her father could do as he pleased. He frowned not wanting to think about it and put his mind back to being quiet and not seen.
He stopped short and cursed himself. He had almost walked right out into the open. And laying right there was a male dragon. Cursing himself for his stupidity he started around the dragon to go over the hill on his other side. He slowly brought his head up and looked around. Then brought it down quickly. What luck! There Rodin was! But with another look he noticed two male dragons as well. He soon found a small crevice he could conceal himself in and waited.

((Rodin's father's name is Malgavoc - if that was the name you meant))
Rodin noticed Rengo sitting a distance away from her, and she heaved a sigh, cursing herself in her head for blowing up - at least not literally, she chided with a short laugh. She walked up to Rengo and tipped her long neck up toward him. "Sorry I was such a..." she bit her lip, trying to think of a proper word, "...well, pain to put it lightly." She shifted her scales, causing them to rustle slightly and shimmer in the bright sun. "That just happens sometimes when you have a heritage like mine." She turned her head away and glared at the ground.

Rengo didn't move as Rodin approached. Well acutely he didn't even know she was approaching. He had sort of zoned out with out knowing it. When she spoke he jerked being startled. He quickly regained his stance. "You weren't being a pain. I was prying in to something that's not my business. I'm the one that should apologize.." He replied standing up. "I tend to put my nose in places it shouldn't be." He said turning his head and looking away embarrassed.
((Ack! Short & dumb.))

Rodin chuckled, her scales shimmering. "Then I guess we are even!" She sat back on her haunches and folded her wings more comfortably as she sniffed the air, her nose high. Her brow furrowed as she sensed things that baffled and confused her. She simply shook her head, thinking that it was just old memories coming to haunt her. Rodin clicked one golden talon against the stone as she looked around, wondering if it truly was just her imagination.

Rengo smiled. "I guess." He said with a chuckle. He stretched his front legs and lay down on his belly resting his jaw on one of the spikes coming out of his leg. "These things can be a mighty pain at times, But other times they save your life." He said closing his eyes and inhaling..

Bored, Rodin started carving a peice of lava rock from the ground. She cut through it fairly easily, her talons glowing hot as she cut through the stone. In a few moments, she flicked the stone from the ground, and caught it in mid air between her teeth. She dropped it into her claws, and began tinkering with it absent-mindedly. Rodin's golden talons closed around the stone, and her entire hand began to glow with intense heat. Blurry waves ascended from her claw as she formed it within her hand. Moments later it ceased, her claws still wrapped tightly around the stone. Rodin propped her head up on her other hand, her elbow on the ground. She sat there for a few moments before slowly opening her claw, revealing a shining round peice of obsidian, flawless and black. Rodin clicked her tongue in satisfaction before holding it out to Rengo. "Friends?" she asked as she rose.

Rengo watched closely as Rodin started cutting a piece of rock from the ground. Her talons slicing through it with ease. After it was loose she proceeded to flick it in to her mouth and then dropped it in her claws. She then held it in her claws fiddling with it before she closer her talons around it and held it in a death grip. Her hand Begin to heat up, to glow with the heat. the air was blurry around her hand from the heat. Not long after it ceased. And she put her head on her free hand her elbow resting on the dirt. She than opened her claws slowly. Clicking her tongue she spoke. Holding her hand out to him. He looked at what was in it cocking his head to the side. Laying in her hand was a shinning round piece of obsidian. It was black and had no marks what so ever on it. "Friends?" She asked rising. "It's beautiful." He said not answering her question at first. "Yes, Friends." He replied clasping her hand.
((Ack! Sick....))

Shadow got up,tired and weak.He was lonly,upset,and stressed.He breathed a stream of fire at some stones beside him,making crackle,and pop.He walked away from the group to lay down and think about if he belongs here or not.

Rodin watched Rengo's hand close over her own, and repressed the urge to recoil. She cocked her head as she looked at their hands together. In most of her life, the touch of another creature was usually a painful experience - but this was a friendly gesture. It was strange to Rodin that the same claws that could maim and kill could also give and thank. She nodded her head slowly and looked up at Rengo as she left the shining stone in his hand.
Rodin flicked her neck toward Shadow as he emmerged from the cave. She never was much good at comfort or acceptance. She shook her head slowly and made a small snort at him, beckoning him to join them.

Aryath glided gently down toward the cave, her legs stretched out so that the deep purple membrane stretched between them could catch the wind. Because of her weight, which was so incredibly small that she was nearly weightless, to land she simply had to pull in her legs and land lightly on the ground, and this is what she did.
Her reddish scales glinted in the sun, and the scar running down her spine and around her eyes and shoulders was so black it seemed to absorb light. The yellow markings on her shoulders and flanks corresponded with the phase of the moon, which was currently half full.
Aryath looked around. These dragons seemed to be peaceful, at least outwardly. She was getting no immediate warnings of danger from the Moon Goddess that she happened to be the Priestess of, but the Goddess can be fickle and sometimes unfathomable, and warnings did not always come when there was danger around.
Aryath sighed as she looked around and into the cave. She decided to introduce herself to the other female, the one that she felt an odd kinship with. Since she was standing near two other dragons, this could be a good time to make herself known. She bounded lightly, almost floating, to the red dragon, and greeted her. "Hello," she said, smiling, "I'm Aryath."

Rodin turned her head, rather surprised by the appearance of a new dragon. "...Oh, hello!" It took a moment for Rodin to regain her composure and greet the newcomer properly. "My name is Rodin, pleased to meet you Aryath!" Rodin found her words strange, yet welcome coming from her mouth. Strange - that a dragon born among demons could grow to be light.

Rengo looked as Shadow came out of the cave and watched him curiously wondering what was wrong with him. Turning his head to the right he watched another dragon fly in. She was much smaller than the others and emidietly started conversing with Rodin. Sniffing the air he thought he could scent something else nearby but wasn't sure. He looked at the stone in his hand again marveling at how Rodin had made something so beautiful from a hunk of ugly rock. He put his attention back on the new dragon and let a wisp of smoke come trailing from his nostrils.

Rodin tried to keep smiling at the small dragon, whose form intrigued her very much. She followed Rengo's gaze, and became curious at the strange scent that blew by her on the wind. Something was hiding - watching, waiting. It carried a strong scent - it reminded her of something, but Rodin could not put a claw on it properly. She watched the curls of smoke rise from Rengo's nostrils, and had some strange feeling that he may know a little more than she expected. She looked up at him, a questioning expression on her face. He can smell it too... she thought. Rodin was curious, but did not want to ask about it outright. She hoped whatever it was would not be a threat.

Aryath smiled at the dragon who had just blown a wisp of smoke at her. "Hello, my name is Aryath."
As she turned her head, she, too, caught the scent, along with a message from her Goddess that hit her like a club; not a message in words, just a powerful sense of evil and rage. She staggered sideways, almost bumping into Rodin - this was a powerful warning! "Something evil is coming...," she whispered, "looking for one of us - I don't know who." The Goddess was gone as quickly as she had come. "Do any of you have enemies - evil enemies - who might be seeking you?"

Rodin swallowed hard, and her eyes darted from place to place before coming to rest on Aryath's face. "Seeking? ...Perhaps that is an understatement of my situation..." Rodin backed up, the thought of an evil seeker sent by her father coming to take her away - again. Smoke curled from her nostrils as she thought of the fight she would give whatever sort of hellish dragon was here to force her return. Rodin would not have it. A low growl, barely audible, eminated from her being as her mind worked quickly, trying to think of a way to avoid both herself and the others getting captured or injured - or killed.

Rengo smiled at the smaller dragon. "Nice to meet you." He said. The smell becoming even stronger. He couldn't figure what it was out and that angered him. Surprised by the sudden movement from Aryath he snorted and leap back. "I don't have any enemies that are alive." He answered her eyes quickly darting around looking for where the smell was coming from but not seeing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grinko swore. He'd been watching the dragons for a time when another came. "They'd better not be her friends." He muttered Angily, not liking at all, all the angelic dragons down there. As soon as he coulud he must sneak out of this place. And report back to Malgavoc.
Aryath glanced around at the rocks surrounding the cave. Plenty of places to hide in there, especially if the creature was stone-colored, and it would be difficult to pinpoint the smell - no, the stench that emanated from the creature. "If you have need any help, you have only to ask," she said softly to Rodin, knowing that the creature in the rocks would likely hear her if she spoke in normal tones, "I insist upon it, since I would feel horribly guilty if you somehow got injured fighting with... whatever it is." She glanced around again, still seeing nothing but still smelling that pervasive stench. "Anyway, if there is only one, it may leave, since we outnumber it. I can glide around to see if I can spot it. I assure you that I can outmaneuver anything else in the air." Aryath was attempting to be optimistic, and maybe even a little bit cheerful, knowing that Rodin was very worried and any fear could let her worries become deep anxieties.
