Jexro went up to the cave and peered inside. "Hey Kyler. Im gonna stay outside. Im uhh not so good with closed spaces if you know what I mean"(hes closterfobic) he went outside, it was raining her realized. All the better. He loved soaring through the air doging water, and even trying to chach it sometimes dependeing on how bad it was. He spread his wings and took to the air. The crystal like water drops fell from the heavens like glass as he carefully swivled right bending his wings just enough to doge one and not get hit by another. His with and feathers flung back from how quickily he was moving. As the speed or the rain picked up he changed the game to catch the water. He was not good with words and only knew it as falling water. He was a bit... oh ow do you say, never saw other gryphons much befor now and only talked to himself. He did not call things as others did. Acculaly he called it "Wajad"(wa-jade) and he called the winds "brelo"(bree-low). He found himself comforted to be doing something that he had done since he was a child living on his own. He caught one in his mought as he made a wrong turn, it tasted rather sweet. His wings were drenched and a stream of water came up from behind his as he picked up speed, slowly but steadliy. The water was maily collecting on his wings and chest, he loved in so though. Soon he was beeing weighted down from all of the water and turned baqck for "home" as it now was.
When he got there he rested on the top of the cave. He wondered if the others onside could hear him prancing around in joy. He did not care though if they did or didnt. He mearly wanted to be happy. He shok his feathers and the, gray as it now was from the rain, retuned to white with green and purple. He loved his patern, they wernt designs but the color made up for it. He shouted suddenly "I Lut Waja!"(i love water lol hes not that far off)) then he quickily got silent again. Soon the winds rested and the rains slowed a bit. He sleep very well on top of the Cave. It felt good to rest his eyes a bit after such an escusion as he had just had. So much fun indeed.

Kyler nodded his head understandingly, and laid it down upon his talons. He thought about how the tribe would progress. Hatchlings, members, families. Then he thought of what would happen once his tribe was large enough to seem a "threat" to the dark clans. War he thought. He hated wars, despite the fact that he was an awesome warrior. He shook his mane, trying to rid himself of thoughts that simply would not leave.

Phadyn watched as the cave was made. Sprinting over the damp ground, she glanced inside. It was very well made, especially if it was from erosion. Once she laid her talon in there, she had different ideas. She shook the water from her foot, realizing that the cave was just as damp as the ground outside. Looking up, she realized that a newborn cave wasn't very likely to survive with a cliff over it. It must be stabelized properly to withstand it.
She then glanced at the crest above the cave. This was meant for the tribe, and Kyler worked hard on it just for it. Gulping, she treaded into the cave, trying to ignore the dampness of the ground and cave walls. Spotting the proud Kyler, she walked over to him. "You did a pretty good job", she said, though it was a bit of a lie. She wasn't comfortabe enough to tell him what was really on her mind yet. Her amber eyes turned to a new gryphon that she had never seen before. "Who are you?", she asked.

((I assume you're talking to me.))
Feisian leapt into the cave, not caring in the least bit that he was soaking, and even more soaked by the mini-waterfall created outside the entrance. "Nice weather," he said dryly, trying to groom his feathers back down. He walked around the cavern, each step causing an echo. "This is certainly well-done," he remarked to the leader of the tribe. "My compliments." The lone gryphon found a spot in a comfortable alcove, with a fair amount of stalagmites and stalactites serving as a sort of barrier. Feisian liked his privacy. He circled around in an area and curled up experimentally. It was perfect. "Who are you?"
He lifted his head off of his talons. He hadn't seen the female before. Reluctantly, though comfort bowed to manners, he stood. "I am Feisian, m'lady," he said respectfully. His manner could be seen as courtly and outdated, but quaint in some strange way.

((Yeah, since he was the only one that she has not seen yet.))
"I am Phadyn", she replied. She looked around at the cave, still fairly uncomfortable, but for some odd reason, she wanted to make Kyler happy, and it wasn't just because he was the king. She looked back at Feisan, making a slight nod-like bow, then went to the entrance of the cave. She stared outside, no longer seeing the other gryphon flying in the rain. She looked around for him, then heard him somewhere above the cave.
She then stared out at the rain. It reminded her of the tears that she has never shed. The rain cried for her. For her being orphaned, for being born seeing her parents dead. Her eyes became glassy and glazed, as if she was in a trance. She held out a talon until a drop fell upon it. She tapped the raindrop to her eye.The tears I never had... She continued to be in the trance-like state, staring out into the rain.

Kyler watched the female come in, and felt bad at the sensation of her anexiety. He frowned to himself as she turned away. At least it would dry later. In reality, he could summon the water out, but he did not want to look like an idiot in front of everyone. He felt bad that he could not please the female - for strange reasons unknown to him. He shrugged them off, and laid his head quietly upon his talons.

Feisian watched her leave, saw her lay down at the entrance of the cave and stare out into the rain. He sighed. Rain never made him sad, unless some scrolls were damaged. The gryphon adjusted his spectacles and curled up again, scratching out a shallow depression to expand into a more den-like area later. He supposed he would have to get the scrolls later, and transcribe their history onto the cave walls for posterity. It was a task he relished. Of course, he'd need Kyler's permission first, but he was confident that the king would let him.
He drummed his talons on the stone floor quietly, more as a release of his own anxiety and stress than anything else. Finally, he had a home in a tribe. After being alone for so long, would he integrate back into gryphon hierarchy well? Only time would tell.

A new gryphon came into the terra. She was brilliant, and sensing the presence of other gryphons, she kept cautious. She approached the cave, and stood infont of the entance, behind the falling cascade of water. Her brilliant coat glistened into Ty's eyes and he didnt want to startle her,he walked up to Kylar,"we have company"he said.Fortunatly for Angel she heard Ty and ducked low down.

Phadyn broke from her trance when Ty came with the news. Her brighter eyes glanced back out in the downpour, seeing a glimpse of an angel-like gryphon in the area before it ducked down."It appears that we do", Phadyn agreed, squinting outside. She took a step out from her shelter into the pouring rain. The droplets dribbled down her feathers, but she didn't care at the moment. "Hello?", she called out, trying to fing the gryphon. "Show yourself", she ordered, but not in a threatening way. "You aren't going to survive long if you stand out here".

Kyler looked up at Ty and then out the cascades of shimmering water. He smiled softly, lifting a sigle talon rather inconspicuously. The waterfall parted like curtains of vines. Kyler rose and poked his head out, looking down directly at the female. He dipped his head respectfully. "Care to join us?" he asked. Kyler flicked his tail absent midedly.

Kyler took no notice of the female's show-offiness, and again took his post in the corner. "Welcome Angel. I am Kyler of Keil, in the north kingdoms of Acadia." He nodded shortly to her, then continued to watch the other members of the tribe. Particularly Phadyn.

Feisian heard the commotion and stood up. Another female. Couldn't they just wait until tomorrow, he thought, irritated, and irrationally so. Good manners dictated that he introduce himself, though, and he was not one to break protocol.
"Good evening to you," he said, struggling to keep the curtness from his voice. "I am Feisian. Well met, Angel, and well-named, I see." He lay down again, warning himself not to get too comfortable, as someone else would probably show up.
Winds and dust, why did he have to be so well-mannered?

Kyler laid his head upon his talons, his ear tufts flicking every now and then, picking up bits of conversation. He was rather disinterested in the new female, but glad that she showed interest in another male. He sat there, occasionally chipping at the sandstone before his talons.

Phadyn watched as the female entered the cave, and she followed her in, dripping from the rain. Phadyn's eyes seemed to have a sliver of anger in them when the newcomer started to show off a bit, but she hid her irritated feelings and bowed her head slightly. "I am Phadyn", she stated to Angel. Though Phadyn was quite relived that there was another fea in the tribe, she had a few mixed feelings."They just keep coming...", she uttered under her breath, making sure no one heard. Phadyn sat down near the entrance again, then looked at Angel. She was a bit relived that Angel seemed interested in the prancing Jextro in the rain. Her long tail twitched a bit, mostly in jealosy. Angel looked very beautiful, but Phadyn looked like a wet chicken.(( )) She refrained from shaking it off, for then she'd just make everybody else wet.

Kyler had closed his eyes, ignoring much of the commotion to recoil into the confines of his consiousness. His eyes flitted slowly open as he felt the tension between the two faes build slightly. He closed his eyes again, a gentle, almost invisible smile on his beak. His tail twitched slightly, and the corners of his mouth quivered as he tried to hide the smile.
Slowly, so that it could almost be disregarded, the water that had collected in Phadyn's fur and feathers gathered into droplets and fell to the smooth cave floor. The droplets formed a tiny river, carrying the water away from Phaydyn, leaving her coat dry and warm, as if it had never been wet at all.
The smile faded into a content expression.

Feisian flicked his tail in acknowledgement of her reply, still mildly irritated. So, she could sense feelings. That was a dangerous gift. He'd just have to keep them more carefully hidden. He did not appreciate having his mind peeled apart like an onion. In retaliation, he concentrated on the words of an old humorous ballad he had heard once, trying to keep her from doing any more pesky soul-searching. Of course, he did it in the appropriate Northlander accent.
Come hearken unto me, mah kin, As Ah tell a tale 'twill surely baffle; O' the captain Rugg an' the stoatcook Flugg Aboard the guid ship Stinky Waffle.
The waffle was weird as a ship e'er was Wi' waves rollin' and crestin' on waves She went half as far as a normal ship did, Cos she had twice as many oarslaves.
An' a natterjack chief 'e did fall from t'shky, As t'Waffle she rolled on t'shea, An' the natterjack 'e did the 'ornpipe, In t'shadow of t'ship, in t'lea...

Phadyn blinked when Angel replied to her. Was it that easy to be able to read her thoughts? Phadyn did not like that ability one bit. Now she had to take more caution around this gryphon just so Angel won't blabber it to anyone, making her a bit more uncomfortable. But Phadyn knew that she shouldn't appear that she was, for she knew that Angel meant well. Phadyn made a slight nod to her for her reply.
Looking at herself, she noticed that she was no longer drenched in rainwater. She was, infact, not wet at all. Not even damp. She guessed that she was so intruged in the newcomer, that she has not noticed the drying process. Her eyes glanced at Kyler, and she knew from his demonstration from how he made the cave that he helped. For a split second, she wanted to be near him, to be with him; yet she tried to push those thoughts to the back of her mind and stayed where she was.
Phadyn then looked back at Angel, seeing her drink from the puddle, then freeze it. So, she can control ice., she thought. "Why did you freeze that?", Phadyn asked, wanting to know a bit more about this newcomer to calm her mind.

Feisian was oblivious to the freezing of the puddle. Indeed, the melody was so catchy that he'd started to hum it under his breath, flicking his tail in time to the beat. It was a sad frailty of his--he was absent-minded, so he even forgot why he had started reciting it in his mind in the first place. He kept on going, though, through all forty-seven verses and the chorus. It would take him quite a while to finish. And he had scores of other ballads in his repertoire. He finally turned around, looking around at the other inhabitants of the newly-formed cave. The gryphon was not one to pass up a prime opportunity to observe others.

Angel did other odd things as she grew more comfotable. The rain faded, and the sun shone brightly.Angel stepped out in awe and flew of,she looked around, and decided to make the land more, lively. She walked across the terra, within every step, plants began to grow.More gryphons will come now.

((Mia, I just came from checking Angel's profile, and no where does it say anything about being able to discern other's feelings or grow plants. It says, I quote, "ice, water, wind". To me, that says that you can make water and ice do things, and control some wind forces. As far as makes sense to me, there is nothing that says she can make things grow. So either edit that out of your post or edit your powers list.))
Kyler watched without really watching, I guess the proper term would be listened. Every now and then he opened his eyes to check on everyone. But for most of the time, he simply flicked his ear tufts this way and that as he so pleased. He too began to swish his tail with the hum of Feisian's ballad. Kyler always had enjoyed the songs and stories of the gadfeathers - small gryphons without clan or home that acted as traveling minstrals. He thought of Murtle fondly. She was a fine old gadfeather if he had ever known one.

The now-shining sun sparkled off still-damp black wings and red hindquarters. Flyt flew like his name indicated; he flitted through the air, flapping erratically, although some of that may have been because of the missing flight feathers in one of his wings. He had heard the king Gryphon's call, but he had been driven to earth by the pounding rain and had only just been able to continue flying. Flyt glanced behind himself nervously, and, seeing nothing, landed near the cave's entrance, although behind a bush. Some of his nervousness may have been caused by the fact that he was only about one and a half feet tall at the shoulder, smaller than many baby gryphons, yet he was full grown.
Flyt finally worked up the courage to approach the cave entrance. As he emerged from the shrub, limping slightly, three parallel scars were visible on his flank, still red and angry. Marks of a dragon's claws. He was also dragging a small sack that clanked and jingled. Flyt decided not to introduce himself and crept through the entrance, sitting in a shadow underneath an overhang. Since it was far to small for anyone else to go under, he lovingly deposited his sack and turned back to the others, black eyes gleaming.

Phadyn watched Angel leave without answering her question. "Wasn't that mannerly.", she muttered sarcasticly to herself, rolling her eyes. Phadyn gave up hiding those feelings, since she was so frustrated at angel for not even acknowledging her question. She made a slight glare at the angelic gryphon before her attention was detered to something else.
Her eyes sought a small gryphon, or what she thought was a gryphon, creeping into the cave. The gryphon was pretty small, and it held an odd sack of, what Phadyn thought of, human-made treasures. She payed not much heed to the hack, but centralized her attention upon the small gryphon. Lowering her head untill she was within eye level with the small gryphon, she began to speak."Do you know how uncouth it is to just walk in without an introduction or an explaination perhaps", she stated to him in a bit of a stern tone.

Flyt jumped as another gryphon, who was about five times his size, spoke to him. He started to go still, but stopped himself just in time. Quit that! he chided himself, it won't help to go still, the other gryphon already knows where you are! Flyt looked to the other gryphon, not meeting her eyes.
"I'm just a little nervous... you know how it is." His red fox tail waved around, betraying some of his inner anxiety. "Um... I'm Flyt."

Kyler heard Phadyn's greeting, and, curious, opened his eyes to see what was going on. His blue orbs fell opon Flyt as he introduced himslef. Kyler cocked his head, unsure what to make of the smallish gryphon. He shook his feathery mane, seeing if it had merely been the sleepiness still haning in Kyler's eyes - but found it was not.
Kyler had always been interested in things of unnatural qualities - and by gryphon standards, Flyt was certainly unnatural, or at least a little strange. A small smile found its way to Kyler's beak as he rose to greet the small gyphon. "Welcome Flyt," he said in a slow nod. "My name is Kyler. You can consider yourself safe and welcome here." Kyler continued to watch the gryphon, not out of suspicion, but out of curiosity. He sat down near Phadyn and glanced over to Feisian, guessing that he might be just as interested in Flyt as he was.

Feisian raised his head off of his talons, re-adjusting his spectacles to peer at the new arrival. Far more interesting than that last one, what was her name again? Well, this was new. He had never seen a fox-crow gryphon before. It...no, he, certainly wasn't normal, and for a moment the gryphon blinked and rubbed his eyes, unsure to believe them, fresh from the recent doze as they were. Truly intrigued, he waved a talon at the new arrival.
"Hallo there! So your name's Flyt, eh? It's good to meet you. I'm Feisian, by the way."

Flyt sighed with relief. These gryphons didn't seem to be overly aggressive, a trait which he had seen in far too many creatures during his young life. "Hello," he said to Kyler and Fesian, smiling, "It's nice to meet you too." Flyt glanced at Fesian, noting the spectacles, and seemed to come to a decision. He scampered to his hidden sack and pulled out something that sparkled in the light coming from the cave's mouth. It was an ordinary feather, beautifully worked out of a silverlike metal, attatched a long necklace, far too long for Flyt to wear. Although light was shining on the feather from the entrance, it seemed to be shining just a little brighter than the sun alone would account for. Flyt approached the larger gryphon and looked at him questioningly. "You look like a scholarly type. Do you know anything about magical artifacts? Specifically, necklaces? I ...um... found this necklace and at first I thought it was a normal silver necklace, but it doesn't bend or break, no matter what I do." He ran the chain through his claws, "Can you tell me anything about it?"
